The puppies are almost 3 weeks old now and this week they have all opened their eyes. They get up and walk about on all fours and make their way to the newspaper end of the whelping box for a pee
They have begun to bark and play mouthing games with each other.
Yesterday they all had their nails trimmed so hopefully their 'paddling' will be a bit more comfortable for Inca.
They are getting a bit too big for the ready basket and can climb out of it. It won't be long before they can get out of the whelping box and so the pig rails will be taken out soon.
We have had lots of family and friends visitors this week to see the puppies and have also set up a web cam so others can enjoy watching them at this young age.
Healey is getting more curious and likes to spend time on guard in the whelping room with his younger siblings. Skye still keeps a distance.
